Hi, was a member of the fantastic Figure 8 gym in Skerries, but it sadly closed down in February 2012. Anyone living in the general Rush/Skerries/Balbriggan/Swords area who can recommend a good gym, preferably along the lines of Curves/Figure 8, i.e. women-only, half-hour circuit-training workouts?

Know about Wellfit Gym in Skerries. Lovely bunch of lads who run it but venue a bit grotty (sorry!), plus always seem to be gaggle of fellas hovering around some equipment in discussions about sport, etc., so not always easy to use equipment quickly.

Curves in Swords has closed down. There is one in Malahide that's still going strong. Just wondered if there are any other of these types of gyms/clubs in areas mentioned above.

    Thanks in advance.

Oh, I didn't hear Figure 8 had shut down, I was in there a few months ago :(

The gym in the community centre in Skerries is OK, it's quite cheap and you can pay-as-you-go.

I don't know of any other "Curves" type ones in the vicinity.

A friend of mine has just set up http://www.joedunnefitness.com/ in Finglas near Charlesland shopping centre. I see his updates all the time on Facebook and it sounds like it'll suit your needs.

Platinum Gym in Balbriggan is great. Loads of equipment, classes etc. They even do strongman training now.

Google them, or look them up on facebook.
