RP twitter feed saying he has suffered a Possible season and career ending injury

Speaking to the Racing Post, Lord Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, said: "Frankel has been scanned and no damage was shown, but we will have him scanned again next week and we will know more then.

I can't predict what will happen. If something comes up, it comes up, but we are still hopeful he will be fine. We'll know more in a week's time."

That's from their main website, Doesn't sound career threatening, Yesterday it was only a setback. :(

    What's their twitter feed saying?

Its a pity he will miss the JLT Lockinge Stakes.

A potential line up of Frankel vs

    Nahrain
    Worthadd
    Strong Suit
    Excelebration
    So you think
    Cityscape

    Absolutely mouth watering :D

Hope everything is well with him, and that if he does come back, he'll be in good form.

Mouth watering it is not, a collection of hounds is what you listed there. Not one of those are as good a miler as Canford Cliffs.

Agree with Richie it is not mouth watering but i do think that Excelebration would go very very close with Canford Cliffs. Serious potential as a stallion Excelebration if he's handled well for next year

Bit of an over statement. I reckon So u Think could still come good over here. Excelebration is no slouch and wait until you see what Worthadd is capable of (2nd to Canford last year)

You do remember what Frankel did to Excelebration and Canford Cliffs last year dont you.

Ya and this year is a completely different year. Plenty of superstars are overturned and this race would have been Frankel's biggest test to date.
The lockinge had the best capable line up for frankel against bigger and older horses

No, Canford Cliffs was a year older than Frankel and far better than that lot you mention.

Frankel will chew them up and spit them out

Was Canford not retired after that race? If I remember correctly he was hanging badly to the left inside the final furlong. Frankel had him covered alright.

    Frankel absolutely destroyed Canford Cliffs.

I do think that he(CC) is better than Excelebration though, but Excelebration makes more appeal as a stallion. He'll need to win a few group 1's this year if Coolmore will be charging up on 20k for him, if not he'll only be around 10k

Good news, Frankel's injury doesn't seem to be too bad, he's back on track for the Lockinge next month.

RACING received the news it had been longing to hear on Wednesday when Frankel’s connections revealed that the sport’s world champion will be able to continue his career with next month's Jlt Lockinge Stakes once again an option.
