Tito Ortiz ponders future in WWE

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz expects Forrest Griffin to be his final fight with the promotion on July 7, and he hinted his future could be in the WWE.

However, Ortiz has not completely shut the door on a UFC extension. The American admits a big win could tempt him to fight on, although a move into the WWE - where Brock Lesnar recently returned - also appeals.
"I may have another one... you never know," Ortiz said of extending his UFC stay. "But I've got a lot of options. I've seen Brock Lesnar go back to the WWE, that's something I may entertain, do some 'theatrical entertainment' as they call it.

Tito say more than his prayers.

Meltzer said not in relation to this story that Vince McMahon isnt high on signing MMA fighters as he thinks they wouldnt be able to handle the schedule mentally and physically.

To be honest to me it sounds more as a negotiation feint then serious consideration.

You would correct Id say. Remember when he kept threatening and threatening to sign with Strikeforce?

    Poor fit in 2012.

Back in 2003 when Taz was name dropping him during his commentary of a Wrestlemania main event it would be easy to envision.

Back in 2006 after his destruction of Ken Shamrock it would be easier.

    In 2012, I just can't see it.

Vince is right I would say, I don't know the usual time between fights but its not as if they are fighting once a month even. I know its legit fighting but to go from that to travelling and putting on a show every 2nd night if they are doing house shows is an awful jump.

Yes he was a ref in a match featuring AJ Styles vs Double J. It was a huge coup for TNA at the time, yet in typical TNA style they failed to make a big deal of it.

Vince's POV has also extends to amateur wrestlers apparently after seeing Angle and Brock flame out.

I can see him going to WWE. The name is big enough and he has a character. He did ref a TNA PPV in the past when he fell out with UFC.
