Sending registered parcel from Post Office in North

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is it possible to send a registered parcel from a PO in, say, Newry, but have an address in the Republic?

Reason for asking is that I want to put up for sale an item of jewelry and post or courier it worldwide, but AnPost don't offer this service. At least the UK Royal Mail allow you to increase insurance to the level I need.

    Any help would be appreciated.
