Evening all!

Have a 1.6 petrol passat with an engine management light on, ran a diagnostic on it and it came back as Inlet Manifold:mad:

All the searches i've done on it are showing up as it basically needing a clean and a new gasket. But most of them are showing up diesel cars, so dont know if its the same deal on the petrol models?

As ya may have guessed, i'm no mechanic, but have done bits and pieces myself and have a few mates good at spanner spinning on small jobs, so i'd like as much info on it as possible before i gettin a mate or sumtin to pull the car apart:P or before i've to pay through the nose to a VW garage to fix it
