Selling a car on ebay

Does anyone here have any experience on selling a car on ebay? A friend of mine has a fairly rare and exotic classic - not much of a market for it in Ireland - but there seems to be more of an interenational market - so ebay might be the place. I did see a similar car in not great condition sell for a fairly high price a while back - the guy told me most bidders were from USA/Asia. Just wondering for any tips on how to do it. List it on ebay.co.uk - put in as much detal as possible being honest about any issues etc - but does it matter if you put no reserve, or a high starting price etc - what is the best way to do it?

What if the bids do not go well and its not going to get the money you want, can you pull the auction? Do reserve prices out people off?

Has anyone done this and can you offer any advice?
    Thanks.

Forgetting about shipping hassles etc. for the moment, if your friend has an idea of what price they want for the car knock 5% off that and use that figure as the reserve.
He would be mad to put a car that is demand in other countries on ebay without a reserve. This is simply because fewer people will bid on a car that is not sitting in their own country.
You/he can pull the auction if they want, just state in the listing that the car is advertised elsewhere and can be withdrawn at any time.....although Ebay don't like this they can do very little about it.
Reserve prices will only put off the people that want to buy something for far, far less than what it's worth.
Also have a look at the classic car sites in the USA and Asia, could be an opportunity to put up Ad's there also.
