Where are you getting the prices? Presumably a main honda dealer?

Try a specialist drive shaft supplier for a price, such as:

I'm looking at another grand Sterling but at the price I paid twas to be expected.

I'm getting a half shaft first..see if that fixes vibrations. Else it's the other half .

This car has had f@?$* servicing for 20000miles.. I won't mention where the previous owners were from...

It's hard to get drive shafts in the uk for a 2.4.. that crowd won't have any I'm almost sure. They are Honda specific.. non oem

Driveshafts are specific to every engine/car, there are no generic types.

If its a vibration your getting, then the above company can repair/rebalance your current ones.

Well at least you got it cheap and it wasn't a total surprise...
    20000?? God that's neglect...
Just keep picturing the finished product when you start getting annoyed! I was considering getting one myself a month or two ago but chose an a4 instead, guess whichever I ended up picking S eventually lust after the other!

All they can do is put on new bearings.. a shaft is a shaft. Not much of it is refurnishable.

Unfortunately i have looked at all them options. Basically you need to get complate ones from Honda. Guys on the type accord forum have tried mixing up salvaged bits etc without much success.

Have ordered intermediate shaft for 270quid. ABS sensor 70quid.. not from Honda, they wanted more than double.

    Scandal is all

I drove 400 miles on a tank lol.. so that's what I thought it could do

Mind you at not more than 70../

it's fast but too many cops and cameras in the uk tbh

The shafts can be balanced, I've had it done several times when I made prop shafts for gearbox conversions on skylines/200sx, although admittedly, not by the above company.

Ive been offered to get em furbed but decided not to. A ta member said i was being taken for a ride. 150 And vat for refurb shafts .

Which i was told by the forum guy would be nothing more than bearings and most likely would not fix problem.

So ordered new intermediate one. Cant type much got an absolute c0ck of a fone.. cant believe i sold my sgs2 for an xperia s.

That's not too bad really, only a missed oil change. Won't hurt the Honda if there was decent oil in it.
