Freeview from Limavady is working this morning although I can't say if there were problems yesterday.

Until October, the signal will remain weak so it will be vulnerable to interference and disruption. After October, Strabane will also have switched to Freeview, although Limavady will carry a bigger range of channels.

But I still can't understand why one day I can pick up all the channels and now I can't . What happened was the aerial came down in the wind. But I replaced it with the same aerial but this time I can't pick up the stations

Do you mean you put the same aerial back up or a new one that you at least thought was similar? Can you post a link to the exact type you used?

What about the analogue signal from NI, is it as good as before?

The red coded one is group A and no good for Limavady (group C/D). The grid aerial you linked to wouldn't be much use for Limavady in Ballybofey, not enough gain in the C/D group frequencies most likely.
Wait until October when Strabane goes digital, much easier to receive there, but far fewer channels, or get Freesat now, more channels. Your choice.

You say you installed the aerial yourself, how are your skills in this area?

Did you install the previous aerial that did work?

I have done this stuff be 4 . And I'm a electrician . I asked the house next door and they said that the analog single for bbc 1 etc has gone very poor .

I dont know anything about NI Freeview but when they increase the signals after digital switchover will many of us the republic who currently cannot receive freeview signals be able to get it once this switchover happens? I live in Dunshaughlin, will signals come this far south once the signals improved?

If decent analogue is currently possible, then generally yes as at so at the end of October, a digital power increase will happen, to allow digital coverage to mirror that of analogue.

Being an electrician does not qualify you as an aerial installer. In my experience electricians know very little about the subject. Apologies if you are the exception however.
