If it was a diesel 2WD it'd sell, thats what people that buy these want.

If people bought the same as in 2006 youd be laughing but unfortunatly people have been scared off 4x4s, petrol cars and anything with an engine with more capacity than a shot glass.

Between the price of petrol and tax youd have most people scared to buy that, and even people who it appeals to might be afraid they cant get rid of it after.

Best of luck with your sale though, its just a pity how much road tax rates can devalue good cars

Thanks for that, Road Tax isn't too bad, I pay for it twice a year, makes it easier to swallow :D

i'd take out the cash only and not open to swaps. Just to get people to call or text, some of the swaps you get are hilarious (I still think of the guy with the 12 Samurai Swords looking for a part exchange:rolleyes:).

I'd also take pictures of the car in a more rugged pose near some trees or in the grass on a nice day. Make it look more of a 4x4 people love to dream, they'll see it as an adventure car. I think of Ikea and I want to shoot myself, loose it.

Wouldn't mention the tyre thread let them call and ask if that's an issue, say timing belt recently done (saying last year seems like a year ago). Full Main dealer service history is great maybe mention it twice.

Is it permanent 4x4, can it not be switched to 2?

Its Automatic, on 2WD unless it detects wheel slipping, there is also a 4WD lock button for when you need it.

unfortunate timing, i think i would have been all over that, if it was 500 euros cheaper and i had gotten rid of my yaris in 2 months ish time!

good luck with the sale, it really looks great.

You could probably word it a bit better, but it's worth mentioning or maybe not. Should you maybe drop the whole 4x4, would it make it more appealing to someone looking for more of a car etc not a 4x4?

Curious what people would think, if it was me after a 4x4 i'd be going for something different. But if it was between that and a laguna/mondeo/minivan/ I might consider it.

Not sure what mpg you get but if it's reasonable it's worth mentioning.

Will leave the Ad now, too much tinkering is off putting too.
MPG on it is around 28-30mpg depending on driving style :)

It will take time to sell that, not alot of demand for a petrol soft roader.
