Does anyone have an exact list of the theorems that need to be learned off for Math's HL?

    So far I have:

    Paper 1
    • Factor Theorem
    • First Principles
    • Induction - De Moivre
    • Induction - Differentiation
    • Proof of Addition/Product rule/Quotient rule (By First Principles)
    • Area of Disc
    • Volume Of Cone
    • Volume Of Sphere
    • Volume of a Cylinder

    Paper 2
    • Trigonometric Identities
    • Sin and Cos Rule

    Don't forget

    Paper 1

    All you have listed
    Volume of a cylinder
I think they can ask you to find the volume of an irregular solid too but I'm not certain.
Induction - De moivre & Differentiation proof
Proof of addition/product rule/quotient rule (by first principles)

    Paper 2

    Cos^2(A) + Sin^2(A)= 1
    Cos(a-b)
    Cos(a+b)
    Sin(a-b)
    Sin(a+b)
    Tan(a+b)
    sine rule
    cosine rule

I think that's it. I may be wrong as I did them out of my head so correct me if I am! :L

I hate the proof of the rules by diff.. Can't really get the hang of first principles tbh  Haven't even started to learn the proofs for cone, cylinder etc. Maths hates me :pac:

Updated the list as a resource for others =) Also if we've missed any let me know

Also are there any more on Paper 2? Like for Geometry? We haven't even started it in school "/

Hey just wondering if there is 3 geometry proofs or 4?

I had thought all along that there was 3 but at a revision seminar last week the guy repeatedly mentioned the fact that we need to know 4 theorems that could come up in Question 6a on Paper 2.

    Anybody?

There are 3 I think, but he may have been talking of the "Proof by contradiction" ... That might be the 4th as it comes up in 6A?

So can anyone confirm these are the only proofs we need to know?

    and these:

    Theorem 11, 12 and 13
    Proof by Contradiction

Thanks =) Makes you wonder why the syllabus lists so many if there only gonna examine 3 of them
