Went up to the willow mountains there with a friend of mine thats in visiting, and found a flat rock that looked pretty cool. So I took it home and was wondering what is the best way to carve something on it....Or should I paint on it and then varnish it? Not really sure how to even ask the question I want to ask but I'm sure most of ye understand what I am trying to say? Also, what stores do stuff like that? and what ois the best way to clean it and dry it off? I have it sitting under the stove at the moment.

    Cheers

    Hi bobbaggio,

I was trying to find out were those "Willow Mountains" are in order to find out what type of stone you have found, but failed to do so (unless you're talking about wicklow mountains). If you will post a picture of your stone I will be able to give you a few tips on what tools you might need and may be some ideas for carving as well.
    Good luck
