I previously posted a thread called excommunicated by best friend. All the replies were great and as I knew really I just need to move on. Anyone ever been in a similar situation where a friend dumped you and you found it hard to move on? How did you do it? I know I am too sensitive and emotional at times.

My friend dumped me over a year ago. It was the hardest thing, it was like a break up of sorts, and i was just as upset as if she was a boyfriend. we had been best friends for 12 years. i'm still not over it. but i had a busy year, got married and am now expecting, so i guess i just had to get on with things, but i think about her all the time. and i get really down when i think about how she treated me at the end.

OP, you are asking about moving on. Well starting a thread and still using victim language like being 'dumped' and looking for someone to exchange war stories of how you were 'dumped' and hard done by is not moving on. It is the very opposite. You are asking to PM someone who says that they think about the person all the time and get down about it.
How is that going to help ? What good advise do you think you'll get from someone who hasn't moved on or is this another chance to keep the story alive and sound off about it?

Really stop talking, blogging, thinking about Betty. At this stage I would recommend counselling. There honestly is a deep rooted reason you need to keep this alive and won't let go. And honestly Betty is not the problem here. Your latching and not letting go of a schoolgirl friendship that has just reached it's natural life cycle is a symptom of something else.

makingsense - please review our charter - offers to PM users here even from you the OP is not acceptable here. This is as much to protect others as it is to protect you.

Also as you already have a thread open in RI as you call out in your first post here we are closing this new thread.
Please do review our charter if you have not already done so.

    Thanks
    Taltos
