Brick Wall

Been working with the same company since I graduated from college. Job started out as a summer job and ended up as full time position for what I thought would be a year whilst I figured out what to do next. In May next, that will be five years ago. In the current job, I have risen I suppose and been promoted various levels but the pay is pretty poor given the role type.

Graduated with an 2:2 Arts degree in History and English from NUI. Am still relatively young but just feel as if I have hit a bit of a brick wall now - would love something new to come up but nothing seems to! Feel as if though this is it and I will be with the current company for the rest of my days! On the other hand, I do appreciate the fact that I have a job in the current climate and am not trying to sound ungrateful.

Has anyone else been in this position and how have you approached it or have you any advice?
