    Hi,

So i've about 4000-5000 to spend on a new car...kinda lost as to what to get!

I'll be doing about 400-500km a week so i was thinking a small diesel maybe?

Don't really care how the car looks, just that its cheap and reliable!!! ;)

    Thanks in advance

I'd agree, a fabia diesel is similarly priced but a friend bought a Cordoba pretty cheap.

yeah, you'll not find many 1.4tdi's around for sale (good one's) - my advice would be go to the uk for a good un' - a polo twist 1.4 tdi .....

A polo or a yaris is not really a place to be spending 500km a week.

You will pay silly money for tidy small diesel cars especially the VAG stuff as everyone wants them. Better value and more comfort in something in the 1.9/2.0 litre range.

Personally, I'd spend half that budget on a tidy Peugeot 406 HDi or similar and put the remainder of the budget aside for tax and any surprise repairs.
