    In next few weeks together with my wife and a few friends we go to Dominican Republic for 2 weeks and we trying to find the best place to buy US$. Any ideas??

    If you have any friends who work in a bank, they get dollars a little cheaper. I would try a local bank, ring up a few and ask what the current exchange rate is.

    I went to Dom Rep two years ago. I would advise bringing a lot of small change for tipping. We got a lot of 1s, the waiters really appreciated it.
