Silverfish- Ant Powder

Have a problem in the house I'm renting with what I think are silverfish insects. I put down ant killer powder and found a few dead ones so it did seem to work, was a bit worried that sleeping in a room with this powder mightn't be good health wise so hoovered it up. Landlord got pest control in to spray the outside & some of the rooms inside the house but saw two more alive in my room last night :(

Has anyone used ant powder inside the home before? How long did you leave it down? Does anyone know if its safe to sleep/live in a room with this powder down all the time?

Im curious as to how they get into the house in the first place? Do they come up from the Sewer? They cant fly and they dont live in the garden so how the hell do they get into my en-suite????

As far as i know they do come in from outside & like dark, damp/moist and warm areas so that might be why you see them only in your en-suite. I've seen them in all rooms in this house though

Yes ant and crawling insect powder from heitons..doff I think the brand is..I waited till they (family) were all out and dosed every nook and cranny in every room..then got a large paint brush and pushed it further into cracks..skirting door saddle/well/entrance..under bath..under kitchen sink...then I hoovered the excess from surfaces..worked well..however I still find one perhaps every two months
