Does your PS3 pick up the internet alright? I've Digiweb in my apartment and I just cannot convince my PS3 to connect to the internet, it doesn't even see the wireless signal and nothing happens if I try to us the ethernet cable either. There's nothing wrong with the PS3 because when I bring it to the folks' place it picks up their UPC internet no problem.

If it cant even see your wireless then its nothing to do with your ISP. It would be the settings on your router. Perhaps digiweb can assist you in configuring it. Not picking it up after plugging it in is funny though. Have you tried running an internet connection test on the ps3 when it is plugged in to see where it fails?

No I don't think so, I'll give it a go. And might try Digiweb tomorrow so, cheers.

So I decided to plug in the ethernet last night again after doing a factory reset and it worked. It definitely wasn't working before. Still doesn't pick up the WiFi signal but that's alright I guess.

What class is your wifi router?

    802.11a
    802.11b
    802.11g
    802.11n

If it's 802.11n make sure it's not set to 5GHz, it's unlikely this is the problem but to be sure to be sure

    Seems to be 802.11n.

    Will check that setting, thanks.

Wireless networks can be hidden so they wont show up when you search. Perhaps yours is hidden. You could try enter the SSID for the network manually on the ps3 or change the settings on the router so that it will show up.

a works on 5GHz band (but it's rather old now)
    g & b work on 2.4GHz band (b is old also)
    n works on 2.4 & 5 GHz

My laptop and phone both find the signal no problem so not sure it's that but will try putting it in manually anyway, cheers.
