Decided to start working on my soldering skills, and start on a few projects.

I've been looking at a few easy kits on www.musikding.de and I've ordered the Way Huge Llama kit and the linear booster just as a starting point.

Does anyone else know where to find some decent yet cheap kits in europe/uk? Some of the kits are ridiculous money, you can buy the pedal for the same price.

Also, if anyone has any advice on putting it together, it'd be greatly welcome.

As for advice take your time and make sure your soldering is consistent. Have you done much soldering before?

Very little, I'm working on an old PCB with a few resistors and diodes at the moment, soldering and desoldering, and bits of scrap wire.

I'm gonna keep at it for a while before I try and tackle the kits, have to start getting familiar with schematics and layouts and try and remember what's what.

Made a mess of the range but the screamer is very good & i use it a good bit
after that i went on to build a lovepedal purple plexi & a few others

its highly addictive though

I have a Zendrive clone that came from uk-electronic.de, it sounds really good. It's a low/medium gain drive.

I had a look at uk-electronic.de, but the schematics and manuals are all in German, and they're so crowded and unclear it's impossible to read. They still look like great pedals though.

Watch a few of these dude. Start with a really simple cheap pedal, the linear boost you got is as good a start as you get i guess. If you cock it up it won't feel so annoying than messing up a more complicated pedal, you'll also be able to trace the fault easier. I started with one of the more complicated fuzz pedals and when it didn't work couldn't trace the fault so I went back and started again with a boost pedal.
