I just noticed this morning (as had radio off and window down) that my front tyres squeal quite loud when i was turning into the parking spot outside my house. Was a hard turn, was going very slow obviously and surface is normal tarmacadam.

Is this normal as dont remember hearing it on my previous car?

Check the tyre for wear and air pressure. Might be just the compound of the tyre either?

Going to check the air pressure later. Tyres look pretty new with lots of thread left.

Anyway of finding out what compounds squeal more??

Will bring it to get looked at if the pressure is not an issue. Just didnt want to pay to get it looked at if was something simple......

Also only got the car in the last few days and the tryes looke like they have been clean with some industial cleaner so was wondering if this could be causing the issue??

What brand are they? I've only ever had cheap tyres squeal at me.

I had this before, turned out to be a neighbour's cat.

I would think it's the surface, try it up the road and in a car park with a different surface. When I was a rep visiting many sites I often encountered it on some blends of tarmac for whatever reason.

It's nothing to do with tracking anyway.

    It could be.
Had a VW Transporter and one day when reversing out of a parking space at full lock, one of the front tires actually dragged across the road, it wasn't even turning. Tracking was way out, so the tires wanted to go different directions.
