    Great article - almost all of it is new to me

    The bit about the 6-pot Manta A being a Porsche beater is a bit aspirational though :D

    If its 0-100 kmh time of 7.9 is correct then it might well be true. In the early 70's the 911 had a 2.4 available from 140-190bhp. The 190bhp had a 0-100 kmh time of 6.6, so I would think it would come close to the slower 140bhp one.

    Manta's have always claimed to be Porsche-eaters anyway, maybe this one really was!

    manta could of been a 911 beater as they where cheaper then the 911 and a such... who would risk their sports car vs a boy racer ? :P
