I am putting an extra storage tank into a shed to supply the house at a higher pressure. I got two different prices on 4bar pumps from two plumbers one quoting 300 and the other 500, but of them talked about a Grundfos - not sure if it is the same model. Whats the usual range of prices for such pumps (if anyone knows)?

Depends what model pump your talking bout , im guessing your talking about an mq pump , 300 is very cheap for a 4 bar mq pump and this pump should only be fitted after a break tank and not directly to the mains there's no point comparing prices without knowing what your comparing against , find out what pumps our getting and research the specs , even ask here , with a little more into on what the pumps are serving .ie. whole hose or serving a pressurisee cylinder
