Basically, I'm completely mind ****ed over this guy. I met him through mutual friends in college, the too of us hit it off from the start. We ended up getting together, it was strange..we stayed up talking all night figuring out we had a hell of a lot in common - the next day he dropped me to work and I thought that was it.
But we ended up spending more time together in the next few weeks - I soon realized I was ****ed I was starting to like him - (I normally don't like guys, don't get me wrong.. I get with a few like any other girl but I don't let it become anything more then a one night thing.)

Then he ended up dropping out of college, I was secretly DELIGHTED I wouldn't have to see him anymore, I could just forget about him, or well attempt to - that was easier said then done anyway!

Out of sight out of mind. It was never going to be that easy of course! I kept on thinking about him, THE HOLE TIME!

He then asked me up to visit him for a family engagement, I jumped at the chance to see him - I was so excited! I arrived to have him meet me off the train, bring me to a hotel in town - he had gotten me a room, saying it would be better if I had my own space to get ready. I was ****ing chuffed.. like no guy had ever made such an effort for me before. I ended up meeting all of his siblings/ cousins and mates, I had such a ball and really enjoyed myself. After that night I think we both realised we had the potential to be more then just mates.

In the weeks after I went to stay with him a few times, this time in his family home. We have an amazing time when ever we spend time together, like we can have the banter as mates and then have the banter as more then mates. So we decided we were going to make a go of things and be together, we knew it would be hard considering we are two or three counties apart - but we'd try make it work.

Then all of a sudden he starts being weird with me, when I confronted him about it he actually owned up and was honest with me. He say's it's too hard for me, being so far apart and that work has always come first and he doesn't think we should be together. He will openly admit he is mad about me, and I know he is - the way he kisses me, looks at me and talks to me is obvious!!

I'm heartbroken, I'm ****ing crazy about this guy, and he is about me but he doesn't want to be with me, or he can't? I'm so confused! I've told him how I feel.. but it doesn't really make a difference!

I know we have something special and I don't know what to do - any advice?

Nothing you CAN do really. He has stated that it's too difficult for him. Would you really want him to stay with you and be unhappy? He has been honest with you. You'll have to respect his decision. What's meant to be will be, and you never know what can happen in the future.

Hi OP, I've moved this to Relationship Issues, I think you might get some better advice here.

    Best of luck.
