Hey, last night some scumbag tried to break into my peugeot 607 and broke the small triangular side window in the back of the car, after ringing autoglass and they said they dont stock glass for my car and would have to ring the main dealer, anyone know of a place that might stock the glass?

Do you have glass cover under your insurance policy? If so then it doesn't matter where the glass is sourced. Also get out the goldenpages and ring around other Windscreen Repair companies other than Autoglass.

Failing that have a look on www.partfinder.ie. You may be able to get it from a scrapped car.

Allied Irish Windscreens or a breakers yard.

Not much good at the moment but recommend at renewal time that you pay the few euro extra from glass cover given that replacement glass for the 607 is expensive due to it being hard to source.

Just looking at partfinder.ie and there are 10 607s listed there.

If you are any way handy at all then pick one up from a breakers and do it yourself,i did one in a mk4 golf some time ago - never even attempted anything like it before, took me about an hour and a half i'd say.

You will get more info from a pug forum no doubt.

Seal it up as best you can and start contacting breakers on Tuesday morning.
