Grease on seats

Cleaned the inside of a friends car yesterday and it come up nice apart from front seat that had a chip pan on it that spilt onto seat and was left and dried in.:eek:
I used flash APC which started to lift it but not very well,is there any cleaning product out there that might work?

Try washing powder and water, start with a small amount.

I wonder would steam cleaning help dissolve the stains and remove them? Read up on steam cleaning and see if it would be of help.

Yeah tried washing powder but didn't shift it,think its been on there that long it'll take a few goes.

never used but maybe meguiars super degreser? but test it on fabric before use

come to cork, will sort it with stain removers and extraction machine

I doubt you will have much success in getting it right but you will need a degreaser and wet vac of some sort.

Depending on the seats of course, test a small area first and go from there but might be cheaper getting one from a breakers yard

Off topic: why was there a dirty chip pan on the front seat of a car?

On topic: if you are sticking to things around the house then washing liquid and water, or maybe vanish or another stain remover if you have any.

But i think a dedicated spray or foam and then a wet/dry vac is probably the best option if you have no luck with household products.

Yeah this is what i said to her.Its been on there awhile now
