To be honest I would vouch for Killarney the glen eagles I often go there with my kids I've never been able to afford a sun holiday. They have great entertainment for everybody and there's lots to do in the area.

I went to Trabolgan a few years ago with my 2 children, who were probably aged around 10 and 5, they had a great time. Loads for kids to do during the day, and kiddies disco at night. I have heard that it has become a bit run down of late but it's worth a look at.

If you're interested in abroad, Jersey is extremely child-friendly.

I recommend the Isle of Wight (just off the south coast of England), very child friendly, great weather most of the summer (always warmer than here), its not too far away from here, and its also known as the 'Dinosaur island' because its so full of Dino fossils (boys are usually thrilled about that), there are many child activities both indoor & outdoor on the island.
