I bought a 11 Passat high line this week, the controls are on the steering wheel and touch screen has a phone option. Bluetooth is not connected can anyone tell me how much it would cost to get phone connected through steering wheel. Would it be cheaper to install parrott system.

You can get the OEM Bluetooth module that goes under the drivers seat somewhere.

I really cannot believe bluetooth is not a standard feature these days on cars especially on a top of the range Passat. The EU enforce some silly rules on car manufacturers yet will not force them to fit bluethooth which could actually prevent silly accidents and save lives.

I thought that BT was standard on the Comfortline up now? Op doesnt mention what model it is.

It can be done, ask the VW dealer you bought it from. I think they use ICE systems to do it, costs around 350 quid.

He mentioned it being a Highline in the first line. €350 is reasonable for a integrated system imo. A decent Parrot system would cost close to that and it still looks aftermarket if you know what I mean.
