Elev 8 presenter Diana Bunici and her mother on returning to her village in Moldova and meeting family and friends after 10 Years.

Brendan meets Winning Streak presenters Marty Whelan and Geri Maye.

And John Murray and his wife Miriam Donohue give the inside track on China.

Ex Banker and Novelist, Aifric Campbell

Music by Mick Flannery. Mick will perform is new single "No Way to Live" from his No 1 selling album "Red to Blue".



It looks like Brendan has started to go to the RTE Canteen to look for guests, I think I might be watching a DVD instead :(:(

That really is a truly awful guest list.

A girl who happens to present something on the telly going back to Moldova with her mum to meet the neighbours. Wow.

Marty & Geri, less than an hour after Winning Streak goes out ?
Actually, no offence to Marty, nice guy that he is, but is he really the highest calibre of guest RTÉ can muster on a Saturday night?
Surely even he must feel uncomfortable about appearing on such a poor show.

As for John Murry, the only good reason to watch him would be if Brendan O'Connor had the balls to tackle him over the insulting piece relating to Micky Harte on his radio show last year. Can't see that happening though. Murray has never had the decency to face up to that disgraceful episode and the very sound of his voice has me reaching for the off button since.

Its a sad indication of RTÉ's status when they cannot come up with at least one internationally recognisable guest worthy of stardom status between both of its weekend talk shows. And that includes last week too.

I like O'Connor as a presenter I have to admit, he's the best of a very bad lot in RTE and he always does his best.

But what can you do when thrown a guest list like that? Not much to work with really.

Ive very little interest in any of the guests. Marty is slightly entertaining in a mad:rolleyes::rolleyes: sort of a way. TBF its not very enticing at the moment.
NOw the music by Mick Flannery should be excellent at least.
I slightly suspect that husband will win the remote war tonight

Geri was also engaged to Brian Purcell (Judge on the Irish Apprentice) for a time. She seems to have finally found happiness with a Limerick business man. They married last Christmas in Adare.

Nah, D'arcy got engaged on Christmas Day 2011, Geri Maye got engaged in Doonbeg in November 2011. Anyway, best of luck to them, I hope they will be very happy with their respective partners.

I am surprised most of you don't see this for the actual scandal it is. Alot of RTE "personalities" are on obscene wages as it is. When they are on talk shows like this they also get paid for appearing - (on the Late Late show sometimes books are plugged for some of them too). It's an absolute disgrace and has been going on for years and years now.

Times are tough when you know the biggest 'celeb' among them is Marty Whelan.
The mammy will be happy with the line up though!

I think she is good on it, tbh only seen it once Id say and not a full show, she is really excited for the people on it I thought.
