Here's the trailer for a new film with Simon Pegg in the lead. Seems to be about a writer researching a book on serial killers which causes him to have some sort of break down, but its a comedy. I think thats what its about anyway!!

Strangely enough this film is written and directed by Crispian Mills, his mum was Hayley Mills and if any of you were teenagers in the 90's like myself you'll remember him as the lead singer of the band Kula Shaker!

Looks pretty bad tbh, a bit too artsy for its own good probably.
I am bias though, I never liked Pegg. He just took the whole hugh grant bumbling nervous awkward Englishman and updated it, Gervais too.

(could now be lynched as Pegg has a weird cult like fanboy following) :)

Not going to Lynch you but comparing both him and Ricky Gervais to Hugh Grant is downright strange and in no way accurate frankly.

The film does indeed look weird though.

I caught his last night in Cineworld and I have to say I really enjoyed it. I was a little worried walking in having caught some reviews and noticed how everyone was slating it. It was at that dangerous level of 5/10 stars where its not good, but its not so bad it'll be fun.

But no, it was actually a really good movie. I loved the character and Simon Pegg was perfect for this role. the story was brilliant, if a little obvious, but this was a character piece not a tall tale. The tone and feel of the sets were lovely! And the mini animated bit in the middle was great too.

I can understand why people are not liking it (5 people walked out of the cinema last night) its not obviously entertaining, and very little actually happens in the first 40 - 60 minutes, but I found it thoroughly engaging.

There was also the old recognisable feel of Spaced, when Tim would imagine scenes, and narrate certain thoughts aloud. So as a massive Spaced fan, that was a delight. :D
