Ive been thinking for a while about WWE and their apparent lack of direction with Cena, you hear fans talking bout how Cena should turn heel.It even got a bit annoying. I was thinking that maybe he has already turned heel, the fans did that themselves and the WWE know it.

Not your traditional betrayal/insult the fans etc.. sort of heel turn..Its kinda clever of them isnt it?, I think we have been underestimating the creative team for a while now, I get the feeling that things just had to slowly build up to mania and now its over i fell its all about to kick off! looks like its going to be a good year afterall.

check out this article on bleacher report, describes it much better than I could.

Been thinking the same myself for a while. The WWE has started to embrace the idea of Cena being booed and realised that there was money to be made of letting him be hated by the older generation of fans and more money to be made by the younger fans wanting to fight for him and support him..

It's a good idea and the funny thing is he didn't even need to attack a face or align himself with another heel to get the heat needed to be the biggest heel in the WWE. It's been effective considering they have been making money off the Cena sucks t shirt and you notice when they have Cena in the ring he lets the Let's go Cena, Cena sucks chant run it's course...

Cena is as heel as it gets without being a heel.. If that makes sense?? :D

This is my least favourite topic of conversation, every few months since 2006 we've been hearing how this is the thing that turns Cena heel. It's not happening now, soon; it's like the zombie apocalypse. Listen to his promos, he's not a heel, he couldn't be more babyface. He's just not an effective face.

I know what you mean, it annoys me too, but i just noticed that the WWE i handling the situation quite well, like he is a heel to older fans and face to kid fans...

Put it this way. Cena was the heel at WrestleMania. WWE knows it, everyone one knows it. He got his ass kicked by a face to a big pop.

The same happened the next night at Raw when Brock Lesnar attacked him. I could see this happening more and more in the future. His job will be to divide the crowd (face to some, heel to others), make them take sides and thus, care more about the result. As Lawlor says "John Cena is the most controversial superstar in the history of the WWE".
