Britains + Matchbox catalogues.

Used to love daydreaming over Britains + Matchbox catalogues when I was a child during the mid to late eighties. Torturing myself looking at all the stuff I couldn't have.
I remember calling in almost every day to the local toyshop to check if the latest catalogue was in yet, and then leaving the shop empty handed, convinced the staff were involved in a conspiracy and had the latest catalogues under the counter and were keeping them for the cool kids.

Anybody else daydream over these during their childhood ?

Yep I also liked to look at them a lot when I was a matchbox fan in the 80's.

I'd like to look at them again but strangely there doesn't seem to be scans of the mid 80s catalogs available to view online atm. In particular there was a range called something like "prototypes" (or similar) that was basically a range of futurecars that I'd like to see again.

I must dig them out of the attic. I see a few of them for sale on ebay as well.

Great, thanks a lot. Looking at them now, reliving my youth. It might as well be yesterday when I looked at them last, memeories still fresh. I didn't have some of the newest and oldest ones and always wondered what they would be like. :cool:
