Contacts Sync Problem?

Having a bit of a problem

All my contacts are on phone
Ive imported contacts from sim
I've synched them with google/gmail
But they dont show up on my google/gmail contact list

I've even cleared contact storage and tried a re-sync
on my phone
But nothing!
Calendar and gmail sync no problem

Any ideas folks?

Delete from your phone then go into contacts, import but instead of importing them to your phone,import them to your email address.

I can't remember the exact sequence of keys etc, but that is roughly what you have to do

Try going to the people app and hit menu then move contacts, this should give you the option of moving contacts from your phone to your gmail account. Now this is from looking at my sensation, it might be different on other android devices, but it should be pretty similar.

Yes, there is. Go into Contacts> Menu>More>settings> save new contacts to. The options for saving are: Always ask, Phone, Sim, Google. You must have a @gmail email address.

and manually syncin now,
still dont show up in gmail/google

Check that your account is set to sync your contacts - menu settings - accounts.
Have you gone to google.com/contacts and checked to see if they may have synced to a group other than "my contacts" ?

Yea checked in settings, my email address is there

Checked contacts on gmail, nothing there, apart from email contacts,
thats it, no numbers, nothing!

sorry to be a pain but you did go to www.google.com/contacts ?
Also, did you click on your email address in accounts and verify that contacts were selected on the next screen ?

yea, done and done, constantly pressing sync and it does nothing!
Have imported them from sim to phone, and cleared contact storage, reimported and pressed sync again, still nothing!

Is it a regular Gmail account or a Google Apps account ?

Contacts wont show in regular gmail account
Apps account is the same address as gmail

OK, here's a real left field one - I've noticed that calendar sync doesn't work at all well for me on Meteor - which network are you on and have you tried over wifi ?

tried over wifi only, with 3g, with only wifi

You using two step authentication ?

I take it you've already tried deleting the account and adding it again ?

Out from that I can't suggest anything bar backing up via Titanium backup or similar and a complete reset of the phone.
