How much would it be in this current ecconomic climate to get the cam belt and water pump done on a 2004 Seat Leon TDI?

My missus got a price of 550 euro today for her Leon (cambelt model is ALH).

Is that the going rate or can it be done cheaper??

Appreciate some prices and names of decent (non main dealer) mechanics.garages that would do the job cheaper in Dublin.

    Thanks.:)

Can be done cheaper. €350 would be about average.

Apologies I was thinking of a PD engine. An ALH TDI is actually €380.

If your looking for Dublin then you can get it done on the Northside for the same prices quoted here.
