Goddamn the mericuns can design some sexy cars. This is absolutely epic, who gives a crap that it probably has horse cart leaf springs in the rear, look at it! And the interior ... *splooge*. And it has that deep grumbling v8 under the bonnet. I think it's gorgeous, even the side profile has a touch of AC Cobra with the recessed curve behind the front wheel.

I thought the very first viper was loosely based on the Cobra.

Love this one thought. It reminds me on the Gen 2 GTS which is one of the best looking cars every IMO. Never liked the Gen 3/4 Viper as much as the the GTS. Although the ACR grew on me.

Also I was under the impression that the Viper has double wishbone suspension front and back? The Corvette is the one with a single leaf spring in the back mounted from one side to the other. Actually looks pretty cool but not sure how effective it is.

    I like Vipers:o

Some links are claiming it is still the same 8.4 litre V10 that was in the previous generation. With a few small tweaks and 640bhp now.

Could be a v10 alright, I just saw it and guessed v8. I'm in love though. That interior. Sweet Jesus H holesinthehands TittyChrist.

Why is Ryan Hunter Reays name on that Viper? He's in Indycar?

Along with the production car, a race version of the new Viper debuted. Drivers Dominik Farnbacher, Marc Goossens, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Kuno Wittmer will campaign the car in the American Le Mans series in 2012, ahead of the production car’s release.

Anyone else think the interior is an Audi R8 copy?

So what would you actually buy if you had that type of cash? Personally this wouldn't even make it to the shortlist......

Emmmm, I don't like the design. I don't like that drop and pinch between the engine/passenger compartments, and .. no, I don't like it. Ah well, it's not problem I would never have enough money to consider one of these anyway! :)

I'm with you. Would love to rent one for a month, but I'd probably be done with it then. Many other cars I'd rather have! Including the ZR1.
That V10 was heavily reworked, I think by Maserati.
