By reading it looks like all welcome, but I expect many will come by bus or other transport , and not turn up in their official 'Saorview' vans.

I'll get the bus, and leave my saorview installer T shirt at home, and where black glasses

I'm tempted to go and photograph the vans.

Information now up on the Saorview website
    INSTALLER INFORMATION SESSIONS

With 6 months to go until Analogue Switch Off, SAORVIEW will hold two information meetings for aerial installers:

    • Silver Springs Hotel, Cork, on Wednesday 18th April at 2pm
    • Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on Wednesday 25th April at 2pm

SAORVIEW will update the trade on proposed enhancements to SAORVIEW coverage, SAORSAT, and other technical issues relating to Analogue Switch Off. Members of the SAORVIEW team will also update installers as to the final phase of SAORVIEW’s marketing and PR campaigns. These information meetings will also provide an opportunity for installers to ask questions on any aspect of switchover.

As registration bodies recognised by SAORVIEW, the National Guild of Master Craftsmen and the CAI will be present in Cork, and the ISAA will attend the Athlone session. This will give installers the opportunity to meet representatives from these bodies before and after the SAORVIEW information meeting.

It is hoped that these sessions will provide a valuable opportunity for members of the installation trade to get a final briefing on all of the key information relating to the SAORVIEW switchover campaign. If you would like to come to one of these events, please email trade@saorview.ie confirming which event you wish to attend by 5pm on Monday 16th April.

no inter-organisation fighting - this is the only warning

I'm beginning to wonder what benefit these threads are giving to the average end user.
I did have some interest in having saorview installed, but this forum just seems to be full of bickering, and any interest is gone.
I've no vested interest in any group, nor do I think anyone deserves special treatment.
Anyone who has posted off topic since my last warning is about to get a week ban.
I'm also going to delete anything not on topic.
If you want to start a new civil thread discussing the forum and it's direction please do.

Thanks for that, Cush. Didn't notice any email from Saorview regarding this, so it's good to know.

Meanwhile, I better ensure that Saorview emails aren't being flagged as Spam.

I was supposed to be going, but too much on now, so another workmate is going. I wonder if I'll miss much...
