Am looking at a Chrono..White face

I like a good lume and pref >40mm

About 500 to spend

What would ya recommend

This is the original look of the Strela used on the first Space Walk. The original was 38mm but there is a reissue at 44-45mm.

You should be able pick up a nice piece for €500.

Sturmanskie was the first watch in space and there is a nice reissue of that watch but ts not a Chrono.

I think mine is 42mm. Purchased it off is member of WUS based in NYC for €350 shipped. It really is a beauty in person. The lume is good but I'm not the best photographer to show you. The 38mm is available for $500 new. This version is around $750 new.

A white face and good lume a pretty much mutually exclusive, all the white faced chronos I know are more of the dressier kind and poorly lumed, if at all.
Generally speaking, lume on most Russian watches isn't great, certainly not Seiko bright.

The 3133 chrono movement (and its variants) is 31 mm diameter. This gives a fairly narrow spacing between the centers of the sub-dials. Some of the larger diameter chronos (42/44 mm) can look a bit ungainly because of this as the subdials are too near the center as the dial diameter grows ..the original Soviet 3133 designs were all 38-40 mm.
