    I have a 06 mercedes c200 77,000 miles. I'm having trouble selling it privately.
Would a garage buy it off me without me buying a car from them?
if so anyone have any idea how much i would get?

If you find a garage who'll do it, they'll fleece you.

If you can't sell it privately, it's either (a) advertised in the wrong place or (b) advertised at too high a price.

Post a link to the advert and people can offer you advise of how you can improve your chances of selling it.

I'd be surprised if you didn't get €8000 for that over the next week or so.

You mightn't have been able to sell it because there's so much of these cars for sale at the moment, for the year 2006 alone there are nearly 60 C-Class's available on Carzone alone. Id say with the new price you'll sell it a lot quicker now though! I would say you didnt have enough pictures either, as three pictures aren't enough for a car that potential buyers are going to spend nearly €9,000 on.

I've read recently that its getting very hard to sell big engined cars. Fuel and road tax simply too much for many now.

Having said that, thats a nice looking car you have. Give you €5k for it!

Looks clean enough but I would take a few more photos especially of the interior. People like to see photos of the interior. Diesel + auto and Avantgarde spec are a good combination, no mention of service history or NCT however which are important to buyers these days especially premium branded cars.

It may take time to sell however as it is over the 2.0 litre threshold which is a stumbling block for alot of Irish buyers.
