Time for me to replace my Popcorn Hour A110. My requirements - Netflix - Youtube - Play movies off samba share - Play movies off usb hard drive Plex would be a nice to have Any suggestions?

From what I can work out it doesn't. Samba is about all I use my PCH for so I can not really update to something that doesn't support it no matter how nicely priced it is.

Not any closer but I have learned to be less trusting of manufacturers website.
Despite claiming Netflix support it seems neither the WD TV Live Hub nor the Boxee Box do in the UK (and I presume Ireland).

Why not build one. You won't need a drive to start with, you can boot Openelec or Xbmcbuntu from usb key to save costs, Openelec boots in 12-15secs.

I went from a Boxee box to a dedicated HTPC last year and it was a great move, so many more options and not tied to any software or waiting for vendor updates. I also have the option of adding to it, tuner cards or storage space etc.
