There are three stores in Ireland that stock the Adizero range of Adidas. One in Bray, one in Ballymount and one in Oranmore. Adidas have been very protective of their top end shoes and only want them stocked in specialist stores.

Ballymount stock the widest selection of the three stores and Kevin would be the man to speak to there.

So they don't get mis-sold to people & generate a bad rep for the shoe I would guess. Anyone looking to get these shoes should know that they are a racing specific shoe and not a generic training shoe for the mass market.

You only have to look at how some of the previous top brands have become devalued by being bought by misinformed consumers.

So many people are needlessly injuring themselves by buying a shoe that may be RRP of €160 but on clearance or sale at €85-€90. The impression is that this is a brialliant shoe (because it is expensive) and at a great price (which it is) so it has to be good for me. Unfortunately too many people fall for this clever marketing, buy the shoe and due to the level of control or narrow fit or foot profile end up with shin splints, blisters, foot pain etc. simply because it doesn't suit thier foot.

This is why brands like Saucony & Brooks which were widely available years ago, got pulled from the shelves and slowly have returned in a controlled manner to preserve the brand quality. You will still find some of the models in the multiple / chain stores but the top models will only be seen in the more specialised shops.

I've been using the Pro 4's in shorter races and they really are comfortable and fast and I love the grippy sole especially when it's damp.
Will be interested to hear how you get on with the Hagio's, I've been using the Mana's for longer races.

RRP is €97 but talk nicely to the man in Ballymount and you should get them for €85.

Ya ill do a little review when i get them. From what i read the main difference is in the upper and it has a slightly wider toe box. Which doesn't sound too bad actually.

@amphibianking. Ill have to find someone travelling to Dublin to get them for me. Will they end up on the website do you think?

Not likely to be on the website because as with most of the shoes we do the fitting is the key to the process. Getting the size right, the right width, category of shoe etc is our main business objective and this doesn't happen via the web (yet!)

If you are sure of sizing you could ring ahead, order the shoe if not in stock and arrange for it to be posted. Same service as webshop except you get to talk to Kev.
