Nothing to do with Broadband. Thread moved to Computers & Tech.

Start> control panel> Network and internet

You might have a wireless assitant programme that could give you the on/off option. Or uninstall and reinstall the wifi card in device manager?

Right click the wifi icon and click:

    Open Network and Sharing Centre.
On the side select Change Adaptor Settings.
Find the Wifi Adapator (normally broadcom or something)
    Right Click and Disable it.
    Right Click and Enable it,
    Right Click and select Connect.

    Any Success?

Have a check in the bios for any Wifi on/off option. Also make sure your wifi drivers/hotkey application for the laptop are installed and up to date. Let us know model number and make if you need help with this

Is it laptop? Check hardware switch if it has one...

What PrzemoF said. One of my laptops has a little sliding switch that tends to move whenever the laptop goes in or out of the bag.
