I'm currently on the lookout for either a job or internship to take me up to the end of September when I start my masters. I've seen a few JobBridge internships that look interesting but they state that they are for a duration of 9 months. I'm wondering if it would still be worth applying for or if they are pretty rigid on the duration of these internships?

JobBridge is usually from 6-9 months. Not sure how rigid they are...

You have to be in receipt of SW for at least 3 months before you can apply.

I am currently in the last few weeks of a 6 month Jobsbridge program with a Medical Device Start-up company in Galway. They are just on the cusp of getting some big orders in but can not justify keeping me on until an order comes in.
Does anyone know if you can extend a jobs bridge programe from 6 to 9 months???

    bbb ... ask FAS.

OP - if you get one, then you are free to quit at any time, just like a real job.

I decided to not to mentioned extending the end date to my host company.... this ploy seemed to work as they just came back to me yesterday saying that they are looking at getting a 6 month contract for me..so fingers crossed I will get some paid work.:pac:
I also sent my CV out last week to a fiar few companies in Galway and have a bit of nterest... hopefully they will be permanent jobs.
