    after overtaking a vehicle and before going back to the left lane or moving to right for clearance on stationary vehicle on the left do i have to indicate left before moving back to the left lane? my inlaw who recently passed the test said he indicate left again my instructor said i can if i want to but not necesssary

    It would be more important to signal back in having overtaken a moving vehicle than a parked one

    Things must have changed since I did the tests. The rule then was to leave the right indicator on until one had resumed one's position again on the left. To utilise the left indicator was considered bad practise (unless on a dual carriageway).
