Problems with reducing car usage?

I have an 03 Civic, 1.4 petrol, that has 155000 miles on it at present.
I've had the car 4 year and put about 90000 miles on it myself and apart from a refurbed gear box last January I've had no real trouble from it.

I currently drive 70 miles a day to and from work, from next week I will only be driving to and from the train station each day (12 miles total). Is there anything I need to be considerate of, form a mechanical an dup keep point of view, now it'll be doing far less miles each day?

I guess my main concern is that I don't think the engine is going to get up to temperature on the journey to the station, could that cause me problems in the long run?

You are talking about 6 miles journey twice a day.
That's 10km. Way more than needed for the engine to warm up even at most severe winter.

My father used his car for 30 years for driving to work 3km each way. Never had problems because of that.

12 miles is grand if its not all traffic anyway, engine should be well up to temperature.

    Thanks guys!

I thought it was worth asking a, possibly, dumb question now rather than looking dumb later becasue I didn't so something I should have.

No such thing as a dumb question here :)
