One of them are on their way to TNA...the other one is going to be held back in the midcard for a few years because of that hug.

    My pic is famous!!!!!

Was a hell of a match that had the perfect ending so to me, I think that's it for all of them in terms of in ring work

I call it Curtain Call 2

    In terms of Taker:

It is 20-0 a nice round number.

An extraordinary match possible never to be replicated.

He looked very old and somewhat out of shape seemingly due to father time and the accumulation of injures.

Vicki on twitter intimated McCool was pregnant.

What matches are left to be done at Mania? Cena? Rock? Lesnar? Austin?

I still think Taker could pull that big match off once a year for at least 3 years if he wants.

Aye I could see him wanting to retire but Vince tempting him for a few more matches, taker v Cena would do good money.

It'll depend on how WrestleMania is looking around January. If they have a few huge matches, they'll probably let Undertaker decide if he wants to go again but won't push him. Whereas if they are lacking, I can see Vince really pushing for him to do another match.

No I don't think we've seen Takers or Trips last match.

When I saw this thread appear during the ecent I feared Rovrt had a scoop on somethinmg that was going down during the show so was afraid to look into it.

The shape HHH got himself into tells me he isn't finished yet.

Undertaker looked out of shape early on but he proved he is more than capable of doing it again next year. Personally I have no interest in seeing it again. I have had enough of him winning all the time at this stage!

God I hope they don't retire after watching what they did compared to the rest on the card. Taker did look a bit out of shape but he at that age where its near impossible to fight that. I just hope it was a touching moment between 3 Legends after Taker let me down big time by growing his hair back a bit. I wanted a hairless Taker.

Out of the three of them, HBK looked the worst..

was it just me or did takers tattoos look kinda faded...he's hardly having them all lasered?

imo Taker has to be retiring surely? unless Lesnar signs, there's nobody that stands out as a really legit candidate next year. HHH and HBK are obviously out of the running. Cena isn't in the running because they're not having him do the job for three straight Wrestlemanias, simple as. He is John Cena after all. Jericho could if he's about but i don't see it and he's losing a bit too much for his own good each time he comes back.

If he signs though, Lesnar works because he's the only standout candidate that's really got the better of Taker before. He won their feud hands down all those years ago after all, it could be worked very well. If he signs soon and Taker can handle it, put the two of them in an on/off program like Cena/Rock last year. Have Lesnar go at it with Orton in the meantime or somebody like that and Taker to stick his nose in every now and then, with a couple of matches at Summerslam and Survivor series building up the ultimate decider at Mania 29

Predicted Rock would win so I'm sticking with my next years pick of Rock v Undertaker. As I said before, he was going on about how he had defeated all the greats and the only one left was Cena. Well, he has now defeated Cena, but Taker will take exception to the fact Rock is going to state he has now beaten everyone great (yet somehow omit Taker), so Taker will raise the fact with Rock that he has yet to beat him and the match will be set for next year.

I'm also now predicting Cena v Lesnar and possibly for the WWE Title depending on what happens with that.

A lot of criticism here and elsewhere of Taker and HHH. Laughing at Taker's baldness, saying HHH is only where he is because of his missus, that they are finished and the time should be given to current stars. They proved them all wrong and it will a long time before we see someone like them again.:(

none of these assholes had their last match. really great stuff but end of an era is was not. Kayfabe smashing, although lovely to see. See you all next year lads

this always pisses me off. triple h was moving up the ranks even before stephanie and him started dating.

Agreed. Politics aside, HHH is a great and got where he is largely through hard work. He was already the established main eventer with massive crowd support before he ever went off with Steph. I know he had a lot of title reigns in the earlier years this decade but they were class, he was about as good a heel as there ever was and the Evolution era was brilliant.

Despite HHH being so high up now, he still had to come up through the ranks, which included having to take a year's worth of jobbing as punishment for the curtain call.

I for one hope it is Taker's last match at 'Mania because what else is to be done? Creatively, it's tapped although financially it will always be an option so it probably will continue for as long as 'Taker can go on but maybe 'Taker thinks the same thing, that really he's done all that he wants to do and I think he has enough to fulfill himself outside of wrestling plus it's hard to see him coming back as an 'onscreen personality'.

The 'double-double' has had entertaining matches but basically all four have been the same match : Wrestle, brawl, knock out ref, kick out of finishers. These Wrestlemania 'epics' have become all too predictable in their structure.

Yep, and he proved tonight he was justified in being a main eventer for so long as he was putting on great matches. Although I do agree he did exploit the situation to crush others.

End of an Era? End of nothing! (well, End of Taker vs HHH or Taker vs Shawn at Mania). Taker's still gonna continue the streak, and HHH/HBK will wrestle each other at Mania down the line.

This tagline stuff works though; so many people I chatted to repeated "but it's an end of an era" to me, they took it in completely. Lies i tells ya. LIES!

The same with the "Once in a lifetime" stuff to promote their shows. WWE are entitled to do what they want to promote their shows but you can't stuff like that seriously.

The only time it annoys me is when someone puts their career on the line, loses, then comes back not too long after.

Nope dont think this was an end of an era and that ultimately that was just a way to promote this match and it mot being entirely true will be moot now that its passed.

Taker I can imagine retiring at WM 30 having wrestled at just WM (or 1 or 2 more matches) till then, say Lesnar at WM29 and then Cena at WM 30.

HHH meanwhile in his role as COO will move into more of an occasional wrestling role akin to what Vince had in the past imo but obviously be a better wrestler than Vinnie Mac

Mods maybe merge this with the Speculation thread.

So did I jumped the gun. :P

My NEW theory is that the hug symbolised end of the Flair-HBK-Undertaker-HHH series of matches at Mania.
