How many free to air sat boxes could you put on the one dish?

Have a Sky HD dish which I want to use a Ferguson free to air sat topbox combo, other family members might be interested in doing same. Is there a limit on the number of top boxes per dish?

Simplistically, depends on the LNB on the dish.

If its a single LNB you are retrcited to 1. You can just change the LNB. The QUAD LNB for a Sky Dish Mk4 is about a tenner.

    Quad is 4 outputs.

    Octo LNB is 8 outputs.

Quatro through a distribution system is more again - 16.

What LNB do you have. You will have to more cable runs into the house if its a QUAD/OCTO.

Not sure, its the standard Sky HD dish that came with the e30 package last year.

Can you see the dish or is it on the roof. You are looking for either of these. The Quad has a Square end on the LNB and a hood for the 4 ports out.

If its a quad then you need to run more cables from the LNB ports back into the house.

If its a Single you need to replace it with a quad lnb and run the cables in. The Quad LNBs just snap on to the existing arm.

Quads are a tenner. Then get yourself some sat cable and a few f-connectors.

If its on the roof of your house and you dont do roofs, get someone off the ISAA's website to do it.

With a Quattro and a 90cm dish the limit is about 2000 boxes.
