Great news as one of Tottenhams great footballers is going to recover the use of his knee's after undergoing a pioneering surgery in Holland this Summer.
Ledley King to Undergo Pioneering Knee Surgery

Finally, it looks like Ledley's problematic knees will cause him problems no more.

Thanks to pioneering surgery, it is now possible for surgeons at Sloof hospital in Holland to simply switch out a pair of knees with the donors knees.

Ledley King will have the surgery at the end of the current season and will be out of action for the whole of the following season. Ledley explains how it came about: "It's something I've been researching for a while, and I saw something about it on the internet, then all I had to do was find a willing donor for the knees"

The King also has regrets that the surgery wasn't available earlier in his career, "Of course I wish I could of done this 10 years ago, but I want to keep playing. If I take a year out of football and the come back and have two or three pain and injury free seasons, I'll be happy"

Top knee surgeon Dr April from the Sloof Hospital explains the procedure, "It's literally as simple as taking the knee joints from one pair of legs and putting them into another pair of legs. It's like changing a light bulb, but you know, with some complicated surgery involved"

And who is the donor you ask? MP for Tottenham, David Lammy. He has always shown his commitment for the area and club of Tottenham and when he heard about the surgery, he just had to volunteer. "I always give my all for Tottenham and the club that knits the community together. Anything I can do to increase Spurs as a club, be that securing funding for the new stadium or even donating my knees, I'm happy to do."

On behalf of all Spurs fans, thank you Mr David Lammy. Thank you Dr April and the Sloof hospital. Really looking forward to a Ledley King with perfect knees!

Also in the news Spurs have struck a 10 year deal with Virgin to sponsor the club with Aurusama's and Investecs deal coming to an end this season.

The news should help spurs pay for the new stadium. Although the colours may cause some fans a lot of discomfort.
EXCLUSIVE: Spurs to be Red & White in 2012/13 due to sponsors

Spurs-Home-2011-12redsmall.jpgA massive £1billion deal over 10 years has been announced to the stock exchange this morning. Levy and ENIC have reportedly had enough with the ongoing feud over the Olympic Stadium and the NLDP, and have put the club on the market. No sooner was this announced, Richard Branson's Virgin group revealed plans that have been long in the making to give a massive cash injection into Tottenham Hotspur.

Their £1billion will be used to fund the construction of a 95,000 seater stadium in Tottenham and will allow us to compete with oil rich clubs such as Man City in the transfer market. In return for their unprecedented investment, Levy has agreed to change our blue and white colours to match the Virgin colours of red & white. Plus, virgin will become our main sponsor and claim the naming rights to the new stadium. Reported to be The Virgin Stadium.

So not only are we changing out colours to match Arsenal, but anyone that wants a replica shirt next season will have to walk around with the word Virgin emblazoned on their front. On top of that, I can already see the jokes regarding the name of the new stadium. What's another name for 95,000 virgins?...spurs fans. etc...

Sell out Daniel Levy had this to say:
"I've been looking to sell the club since the Olympic committee turned down our application for the Olympic Stadium. I couldn't justify spending more money on the club. Fortunately we've struck a massive deal with Virgin to allow us anything in our wildest dreams. Unfortunately this means the club will undergo a massive rebranding. I believe in the long term the fans will believe I've done the right thing for the club, to take us to the next level."

    ;)

IM pretty sure there have been knee transplants performed before the problem is you need a fresh cadaver and that's not exactly tge easiest thing in the world to get the family of a recently deceased loved one to let someone take there knees.

The funniest thing about this absolute fail of a thread is the apostrophe in the title tbh.

"Ledly Kings Glass knee's no more" as in "Ledly Kings Glass knee is no more" so OP is correct.

Ledley is spelt with an e though.

he has 2 dodgy "glass knees" so the apostrophe is incorrect it implies he has one.
