Ariva 120 channel list to ariva 200/220?

    Simple question.
Some time back I bought an Ariva 200 from Tony, More recently I also bought a 120 from him, These were both for my mother. The 220 hasn't been retuned for since initial install which could be around a year ago, as I don't want to be sitting there for ages sorting channels for her.
Is it possible to dump the channel list from the 120 which I have sorted for her and import them to the 200/220 < < Must check which model it is.

Should I do firmware update etc first on the 200/200?
    Thanks for any advice

Yes, unless you know someone that already has one for the 200/220 and save that and put it on yours.

Can't you just scan the transponders that need doing & not bother with the rubbish?

Find out which channels 'don't work' & look them up on the likes of http://www.lyngsat.com or http://www.kingofsat.net

Find out whether its the 220 or 200 (I dont know which one you are asking for). They are different firmware. Don't flash the wrong firmware to either box. A lot of that going on. The 200 is a different bigger box again that predates the 120 and the 220.

This is for the 120 (incl software version V2.17B3).

    This
is for the 220 (incl software version V2.17B3).

Tony from Satellite.ie may have an up to date one for that.

Alternatively there is a big Ariva 200 thread in the Foreign Satellite section. Lately other Ariva models are being discussed in there, so emphasise that it is a channel list for a 200 that you are looking for. Use any other firmware and you will brick it and have to go through serial port recovery!
