    Hi,

I wonder can someone tell me whether I should be ok to drive my car tomorrow?

This morning when I turned the engine on there was a beep, there was a message on the multifunction display but all I saw of it was the words "diesel" and "filter"

I have consulted the manual and the only thing I can find is about an additive for the diesel partical emissions filter???? The garage is closed to day so appreciate any advice you may have, the car is up for service in next 300 miles

    I'm guessing its a 1.6 hdi...?
Its unusual that this message just appears when you turn on the engine first thing this morning....Did it display any warning message during your last journey...?
It sounds to me that one of your dpf related sensors have failed and has flagged this message.
Maybe take it for a short journey and see how it drives...?...after that get a diagnostic check done to see what shows up..?

Damn diesel particle filter... I had a hdi 307 and it broke my heart. Yes it should be safe to drive, just get it looked when you have the chance

Hi. If the car is driving ok then it should be fine to drive. Get a diagnostic check done then when you can.

I did drive it for about 5 mins stopped for 40 mins and drove back 5 mins, it hasnt show the message again and it seems to be fine. It didnt display on my last journey either

I wont be driving it for the rest of the day today

I think it could be water in the fuel filter. The message for the particulate filter is different but I can't remember what it is.

Draining water from the fuel filter is a fairly simple job so it shouldn't cost much.
