hi i used to have freeview built into my tv with just my annalogue aerial but i moved house and lost these channels. when you pressed the epg button it showed me what was on now and next on every channel at once and if i scrolled accross it showed me later veiwing times. i have an old freeview box which is not the best picture but this only tells me whats on now and next on the channel your on not on all channels at once. im now looking to upgrade to hd can someone please tell me what sort of freeview box or free to air box will do this? it does not have to have saorview as i now have no aerial only a satelite dish! i live in wexford if it makes any difference thank you

If it's just Satellite you are after - then the best boxes for EPG are the ones for sale on the UK market labelled as FreeSat.

This one is a good choice if you want to record - but if not, then this will do just fine.

Well, you said in your post that it didn't have to have Saorview as you only had a satellite dish and so that's why I reccomend those boxes as they are just for Sat and so won't pick up Saorview.

If you wanted a Combo box you wouldn't get as good an EPG as the above two boxes give you anyway - as you would just have a 'Now & Next' EPG for Sat on most Combos (at best, some don't even have that).

As for UK Freeview boxes working here for Saorview - some do and some don't, check the stickies on the top of the page.
