Had a weird one today, driving on a straight road a loud, intermittent, grating noise started coming from around the passenger side bulked, not too dissimilar to when the ABS would activate. The brake pedal did firm up a bit when I immediately went to slow down but it was pretty unnerving.

For some time a similar noise (albeit very briefly) could be heard when the steering wheel was a quarter turn to the left, but would then go away when the wheel was straightened. Nothing odd would happen with the brakes though, unlike today.

Any ideas?
