Hi folks, do any body know how to quieten a gundfros 2 bar twin shower pump that we have sitting on attic joists separated by insulation? Our gas boiler copper cylinder and tank are all up there. Hope to convert attic in future however need to get some snags sorted first.
    Cheers

I was thinking of trying to make a angle iron mount off the gable wall and put rubber matting on the base but not sure how to box it given the 4 pipes coming out of it?

You might want to be careful boxing it, the pump might over heat.

Putting it on the gable wall is a good idea. It will reduce vibration a lot.

You can get a rubber mat, 24"x24" or thereabouts, it's made for quietening washing machines. It should help.

Suspend it on rope, always worked for me.

Its also used for leveling off large fish tanks.

5 euro for a large roll of it in an aquariam shop.:)

Get a porcelaine tile. Put big blobs of silicone on the bottom of the tile that its raised off the ground. Then silicone the bottom of the pump to the tile. Dont use too much silicone on the bottom of the pump.

This is a method that i used for years and it works great. The only down side to it is you must keep the area around the pump clear (ie the tile must not touch the copper cylinder) as the tile does slightly vibrate but its absorbed by the silicone.

If you get a 12x12 patio slab and put this under it will solve the prob no bother
